BlackHorse Adds to Industry-Leading Board of Advisors

BlackHorse Solutions is excited to welcome two additional members to our Board of Advisors – Melissa Hathaway and Scott Goldstein. We are honored to have Melissa and Scott in our corner, helping to shape and guide our strategy, growth and support to customers.
As industry experts and leaders, Melissa and Scott bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to BlackHorse. Their input to our company’s vision will be invaluable to our success as we continue to focus on customers first and expanding our solution capabilities.
Melissa Hathaway is a leading expert in cyberspace policy and cybersecurity. She served in two U.S. presidential administrations, spearheading the Cyberspace Policy Review for President Barack Obama and leading the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI) for President George W. Bush. As President of Hathaway Global Strategies LLC, she brings a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional perspective to strategic consulting and strategy formulation for public and private sector clients. Having served on the board of directors for three public companies and three non-profit organizations, and as a strategic advisor to a number of public and private companies, Melissa brings a unique combination of policy and technical expertise, as well as board room experience to help others better understand the intersection of government policy, developing technological and industry trends, and economic drivers that impact acquisition and business development strategy in this field. She publishes regularly on cybersecurity matters affecting companies and countries. Most of her articles can be found here.
Dr. Scott Goldstein is an industry executive with extensive leadership and management experience as well as engineering expertise. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles / book chapters and holds five U.S. patents on advanced topics on detection theory, information theory, data compression, ISR and communications systems. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and serves as a member of the Army Science Board; the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine’s Intelligence Science and Technology Experts Group; and the JSOC Science and Technology Task Force.
Dr. Goldstein is also a Major General in the Air Force, assigned in a reserve capacity as the Mobilization Assistant to the Under Secretary of the Air Force. His flag officer leadership positions have included Air Force Research Laboratory, the Space and Missile Systems Center and Air Forces Cyber. His military career has similarly spanned acquisition (RDT&E), space operations and cyberspace operations.
